About Me

Hi! I am a newlywed, attorney who is obsessed with managing my finances to put myself in the best situation possible for my future, my husband's future, and our future kids' future.   Unfortunately, the past has put us in a bit of a hole.  Between the two of us, my husband and I have approximately $250,000.00 of student loan debt and another $10,000 of credit card debt from our honeymoon (fortunately at 0% interest right now).

With our current salaries we make "just enough" to may the minimums on our loans. pay living expenses, and have a teeny, tiny bit for other expenses (gifts for the holidays and the occasional going out to eat).  However, our budget is about to get tighter as we're looking to purchase a home (thanks to family assistance on the down payment and mortgage).

That still leaves us living paycheck to paycheck on a very tight budget with no room for savings.

In order to combat our financial struggles and pay down our debt, I have been obsessed with managing our finances and making sure we manage our money properly.  As a result we are on a very strict budget that can be tough to abide by because we also work long hours and are short on time.

This blog is my way of sharing with you all the tips and tricks I have learned to save money, make some extra money either online or through other resources, to mange money and finances, to live frugally, and to get out of debt.

Follow this blog and my journey to get out of debt and start saving for the future.
